a Living farm on västkusten

Bergs Gård is run by the Wiberg family. We manage agricultural and forestry land, produce local food and create a destination for the whole family.
This is a living farm where everything is real and rarely perfect, but always hearty! Come here to buy a coffee backpack and hike on Soteleden, spend the night on camping pitches or rent accommodation on top of the barn. Participate in the farm chores if you want or just enjoy nature - we can show you the area's rural gems.
Here is the forest with a sea view!
Bergs gård - A living farm destination

Visit a living farm

Our farm is in full swing! We grow vegetables for restaurants. We raise chickens that are allowed to graze outside. We raise fallow deer in enclosures. And you are welcome to visit us! Come and stay overnight with us or buy a coffee backpack and go for a hike on the Soteleden trail that runs outside the farm. If you want to help and participate in the work on our farm, we will always find something for you to do.

Fika-backpack

Fika-backpack before we launch our farm café

In 2026 we will open the doors to our farm café! But even now you can buy a backpack with coffee from us. Then you can hike in our surroundings, shorter or longer. We will help you find a good tour for you.

If you want us to join you and tell you about nature, we will arrange a guided tour to the top of our mountain - where you can see all the way out to the Väderöarna Islands. Call us or write to us and we will arrange a hike with coffee!

Camping sites

Stay at our wild camping sites

From this year (2025) we have 2 simpler camping sites with fantastic views over the meadows and next to the forest. We call them our wild sites! Here you can sit and look for moose, deer, wild boar and more.

For those who want to camp with tent, we can offer a nice, secluded spot on a hill in the forest with a view of our fallow deer enclosure.

Toilet are available. And cold shower for the brave. However, no emptying of the latrine.

Contact us to book a place. However, you do not need to book in advance. Take a chance and come here and we can usually arrange a place for you.

Stay a bit longer on top of our barn

Would you like to stay a bit longer with us and perhaps also participate in the farm's activities? Relax and enjoy everything the farm and the beautiful surroundings have to offer? Bergs gård - local food production

local food prodiction with care for animal welfare and nature

At Bergs Gård, all food production takes place with care for animal walfare and nature. The animals should have a good life and production should be carried out with as little climate impact as possible. When managing our land, we also strive to increase biodiversity.
At Bergs Gård, we grow vegetables for restaurants. We also raise chickens that are allowed to graze on grass outside. In our enclosure, we have a small production of fallow deer meat. The animals should not have to travel long distances - that is why they are slaughtered on the farm in our farm slaughterhouse.

Vegetables

Vegetables for local restaurants

We grow a variety of vegetables for local restaurants.

Our ambition is to be able to offer crops from the farm even in winter. Therefore, in the coming years we will start growing microgreens and mushrooms indoors. Our stable made of solid granite blocks maintains an even indoor temperature, which is well suited for indoor growing.

Green pasture chickens

Chickens that get's to graze outside

During the summer, we raise chickens that are allowed to graze outside on our pastures. Every day they are moved and given fresh grass under their feet. In addition to eating grass, they eat grain, rapeseed and beans from other local farms.

The chickens are slaughtered in our own farm slaughterhouse, all to ensure that their lives are as stress free as possible. After slaughter, they are vacuum packed as whole green pasture chicken. Perfect for a family dinner!

Venison

Venison from our pasture

In a game enclosure on the farm, we raise fallow deer and mouflon. After being killed in the enclosure, the venison is butchered at a local butchering plant. In the autumn, we then sell a limited amount of venison from the enclosure.

land and forest management

We manage land for future generations

Bergs Gård consists of 82 hectares of agricultural and forestry land managed by the Wiberg family. The farm is an old settlement since the Stone Age and today's buildings date back to the 19th century. Johanna and Kristoffer took over the farm in 2024 with an ambition to manage all land in such a way that biodiversity increases and that work is done with as little climate impact as possible. We are driven by a desire to also contribute to a vibrant countryside and want to create a farm that becomes a destination for visitors all year round.

Bergs Gård is a vibrant farm - that means you come straight into our everyday lives. Without the farm being prepared. This means that there may be a container in the yard one day, because the next day the electric chainsaw is humming. This is our job and our dream that is by no means finished. There is always work going on here and we often wish there were more hours in the day. But step by step we are developing the farm.

We are happy to tell you more about how we manage our land for future generations and what visions we have for the future. Follow us on Facebook or visit us!

If you are satisfied with your visit with us - tell others about it. If you are not - tell us about it!
